Lunchtime bbq to raise funds for nepal

A lunchtime barbecue to raise funds for the people of Nepal is taking place next Thursday May 21 in Kerrigan’s Pub in Mullingar.

Local charity fundraiser Brian Fagan in conjunction with Goal has organised a central fund to bring relief to the country, which has been devastated by two major earthquakes that have left thousands of people dead and tens of thousands homeless.

“We would really appreciate all the support possible as this is an extremely worthy cause. We do not know how lucky we are here in Ireland until devastation such as this earth quake occurs in countries, which are not equipped to deal with the destruction, like Nepal. I am just recently back from trekking in Nepal myself and feel very strongly about doing all we can to help them. The people are one of the kindest and most humble in the world and have a great affinity to Irish people” stated one of the organisers Aideen Ginnell.

“Kerrigan’s Pub, Mullingar are kindly giving their premises and their service for free whilst Dunbia Meats, Kilbeggan have offered to sponsor their renowned top quality meat for the charity event.”

All monies raised will go directly to shelter, food and medical relief. Please come along on Thursday between 12.30pm and 2pm , tickets are €10. For further information on the event contact Aideen Ginnell on 0877612832 or Brian Fagan on 0877985889
