The best Christmas nights ever, with ABBA Forever and Nathan Carter
Abba Forever – The Christmas Show, returns to Mullingar Arts Centre on Sunday December 16 for another great night out. A happy sing-a-long, it celebrates great music with stunning audio visual backup of seminal Abba moments.
Mamma Mia, the musical based on the life of Abba, is still packing theatres from Waterloo (!) to Timbuktu, and for this show, Abba Forever take up the story.
The lead by Dennis Scally, a Londoner who formed Abba Forever 12 years ago. Lead guitar is Rae Daniel, also from London. Both have a long, successful track record in the entertainment business, and a feature of the Abba Forever show is the pair of them swapping lightning fast guitar and keyboard licks, live on stage.
On lead vocals are Lucinda O’Connell and Marie O’Hara – you will not hear better ABBA voices anywhere. Both girls have Irish family connections and love touring here to catch up with relatives.
From Waterloo to Dancing Queen, expect a fantastic performance including the iconic hits, Mamma Mia, SOS, Money, Money, Money, The Winner Takes All, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, and many, many, more!
The show has played to full houses all over Ireland on tours here for the last five years, and last year the four performers received repeated standing ovations for what was one of the most memorable shows of the year!
Nathan Carter
Ireland’s hottest act, Nathan Carter returns to the Mullingar Park Hotel with his spectacular Christmas show on Wednesday December 12.
Nathan has been having a great year, the pinnacle of which was singing for Pope Francis before 70,000 people in Croke Park, where he received an ecstatic reaction from the audience, and the Pontiff!
His fifth studio album, ‘Born For The Road’, went straight to number one on release in September.
Now an honorary Irishman, Nathan is from Liverpool, and is currently on a tour of USA and Canada, and plans a quick return there in 2019.
Already his show run in Branson, Missouri is being extended, and he is invited back in 2019 for a longer, three-week run, there.
He also performed his first German tour this May and more dates are to follow early in the new year.
His hour-long TV Show, ‘Nathan Carter Christmas Special’, is running again on RTÉ this year over Christmas. Nathan is proving he is no one hit wonder and he has matured in to a stunning, world class live performer, said a spokesperson for RTÉ.
