Trinity visitors enjoy thrilling Rochfortbridge dance display

The Emerald Lakes Academy of Irish Dance and Teams Theatrical Community Group took Trinity College Dublin by storm after a cultural performance that brought audiences to their feet at the American Societies Independence Day Dinner along with delegations from thirty eight countries around the world.

Emerald Lakes were the sole act chosen to entertain this international audience providing a taste of Ireland’s culture through music, song and dance.

Kevin Lyster's Cultural Group wowed the crowds in Dublin with traditional singing by Eimear Farrell and majestic traditional harp music by Alice McDonnell along with an 18-strong troupe of dancers who lifted the rafters of the worlds most famous college.

Standing ovations were order of the day for their-energy packed performances. Not only that, but an Emerald Lakes impromptu flash-mob performance outside Trinity drew in hundreds of tourists bringing the environs of Trinity alive with traditional and modern Irish dance taking hold of the central courtyards of Trinity to cheers and rapturous applause.
