Looking forward to Culture Night
Culture Night sees venues and public spaces across Ireland open their doors to host a programme of free entertainment, as part of an all-island celebration of arts, heritage and culture.
It returns for its 14th year on Friday, September 20, and across north Westmeath there’s all kinds of day and night-time events taking place, from a high energy dance display by Energy Plus School of Dance on Dominic Square at 6.30 to public art tours with Ruth Illingworth, and drop-in family workshops in Mary Street’s Crane Bird art studio. You can take in some cultural heritage by visiting Belvedere House and Gardens, by day or by night. Mullingar has a range of events, but so too does Castlepollard, Delvin, Fore, Ballynacargy and Rochfortbridge. Westmeath Culture Night is a platform to showcase the county’s rich cultural offering and designed to make the arts accessible to everyone – enthusiasts and novices alike.
You are bound to find whatever you are looking for at Westmeath Culture Night with its wealth of exhibitions, dance performances, historic talks, musical concerts, drama, open gardens and much, much more. Please come and enjoy what out county has to offer as all events are free.
