Annual Remembrance Tree to be erected this Friday

The Remembrance Tree will be erected this Friday in Mullingar by Mullingar Rotary Club in conjunction with North Westmeath Hospice.

Current president of the Rotary Club, Peter Burke TD, is encouraging all shoppers to support the initiative: "Please support the Remembrance Tree this festive season. Christmas is a time for family and friends, and also a time to reflect on the year gone by and those we have lost during the year.

"No donation is too small, all amounts are welcome.

"A Mass will be said after Christmas for all the loved ones remembered on the tree."
