DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES NEXT WEEK: Delvin 'Garradrimna' Book Fair Short Story Competition

The Delvin ‘Garradrimna’ Book Fair Short Story Competition is back for 2017, and once again the Westmeath Examiner is supporting it.

Previous editions of the competition have drawn large numbers of entries in both categories, and we expect this year to be no different.

Once again, to enter the competition, you are invited to write a short story, starting with the line –

‘There is something about opening a book for the first time. Turning to the first page...’

There are two categories – junior and senior

To enter, email your story of between 1,500 and 2,000 words to
digital@celticmediagroup.com or post to The Westmeath Examiner, Blackhall, Mullingar, County Westmeath.

The closing date is Wednesday April 12. For T&Cs, see westmeathexaminer.ie.

The two winning stories will be published in the Westmeath Examiner.
