Shawbrookians to showcase their style in Mullingar!

Just 15 miles outside Mullingar, the LD Dance Trust is making the name Shawbrook synonymous with vibrant, experimental and innovative dance.The LD Dance Fest takes place at Shawbrook, which is just outside Legan, from April 16 to 18, and the members of the Youth Dance Company, The Shawbrookians, will introduce the festival to the local community in Mullingar at the Market Square on Saturday April 4 at 2.30 p.m., and at John Mac"s pub in Mullingar on Tuesday April 7 at 9.30 p.m.The young dancers have been extremely active this year, dancing in London, at the St Patrick "s parade in Dublin, at a photo shoot in a secret location - and doing aerial dancing with their mentor Chantal McCormick and much more.At 10 am on Thursday 16th April the Irish National Dance Awards will take place in Backstage Theatre where dance students will compete in categories classical ballet, jazz and contemporary dance.On Thursday evening 7.30pm the well loved aerial dance company Fidget Feet will perform 'Awaken' and French artist Fred" Deb will perform ' Woman in the Moon'.On Friday 17th INDA will continue in Backstage Theatre. At 5.30pm Probe will perform a duet called 'This', followed by The Shawbrookians" performance 'Let Loose' choreographed by Chantal McCormick and music by Jym Daly. Jym will also have an exhibition of his artwork in the foyer, which includes oil paintings, photographs and films.In Shawbrook Saturday morning will start off with a master class of Shadow Yoga by Michael M Dolan, judge of contemporary dance and member of The Fabulous Beat Dance Theatre Company. Stuart Beckett"s ballet class and Deborah Lamb"s jazz classes will follow.At 7.30pm The Shawbrook Dance Awards will commence and Antonia Grove of Probe will perform a solo later in the evening.Phone Backstage 043 57888 and Shawbrook 0443957570
