A Mullingar gesture for the Peter McVerry Trust

An Irish charity which aids homeless people is the beneficiary of a cheque for a substantial sum of money, raised as a result of a Christmas charity initiative in Mullingar.

Last week, the Fr. Peter McVerry Trust was presented with a cheque for €3,000 by the Lakepoint Management Company, which raised the sum from collections made at the Santa grotto at Lakepoint during the recent Christmas period. Fr. McVerry accepted the cheque himself from Alex Toland, Paula Mullen and Jack Cunningham of LMC last week.

The Lakepoint Management Company would like to thank all the shops and the IMC Cinema at Lakepoint Retail Park for their support for the grotto, and also Faulkner's Sheds, Chris Lynch Skip and Tool Hire, Greg Potterton Safari Farm and St. Loman's GAA Club for their assistance.
