Fresh musical line-up

A fresh musical line-up is promised this Friday night down at the The Stables, when Angel Pier along with The Kinetics and Mullingar"s We Go Go take to the stage.

We Go Go are the artists formerly known as Tornado Lovely, now a three piece alternative rock band.

Two years on the live Irish music scene has allowed the lads to play with some of Ireland"s top bands in their hometown of Mullingar, including Oppenheimer, The Minutes, Hybrasil, We Should Be Dead, The Beat Poets, The Coronas, Juno Falls and Boss Volenti.

They have also exported their own brand of alternative pop all over the country and received airplay on Phantom 105.2 and 2fm.

Blending their trademark mixture of crunchy guitars, melodic bass and pounding drums with a newly acquired mellow side, the lads strive to move you and rock you in equal measure!

The Mullingar boys join Angel Pier, which are three parts Irish to one part Canadian, and who are known for their unhinged classic pop melodies, layering looping drums and brooding bass. A confrontational guitarist with severe riff-tourettes and a melancholic vocalist with dark lyrical tendencies tops off their unique sound.

Angel Pier are fresh from playing a storming show to a packed Whelan"s in Dublin at the start of 2009, and have just finished new songs recorded with producer Jimmy Eadie (Asylum Studios - Jape, David Kitt, Valerie Francis, One Day International, Rarely Seen Above Ground) for a single and limited 7', scheduled for a late May release, with their debut album will follow later this year.

Finally, the Kinetiks have etched out a solid reputation as the cream of the crop of Ireland"s most promising breaking buzz bands. Nominated for the 2FM/Meteor Hope For 2008 Music Award, The Dublin based indie-pop rockers, still in their early 20s came together sharing influences from Beach Boys to The Strokes, and The Hollies to The Libertines.

Confident, charming, giddy and energetic have been used to describe the group"s impressive live performances.
