A special workshop is to take place this Saturday at All Saints' Church, Church Avenue, in Mullingar, to which all are invited.

"At this workshop, we will examine the changes that have taken place in Irish society in recent years, and how these have influenced our culture, lifestyle and attitudes," Rector, Rev. Alastair Graham, told the Westmeath Examiner this week.

He said that the workshop will also look at the role of the church, and the importance of Christ's values.

"The Christian Church has a very significant role to play in the life of our community in Mullingar and Christian values are to be valued. Under God's guidance and care and protection Christians can make a very significant contribution to the lives of people in Westmeath and the coming together of Christians from all backgrounds is to be welcomed and encouraged.

"This will be a significant occasion, and everyone is more than welcome to attend."

The workshop is to start at 10.30 a.m. and finish at 1.00 p.m.
