Car smashed at Green Park

Comments (0) | Print | Email

Residents in Green Park Meadows were left terrified on Saturday night of last week after four men wearing hoodies emerged from a car and smashed up a second car which had been left parked in the area.

The car which was targeted is believed to belong to a man who is currently serving a jail sentence. Residents said that they had reported that the car had been left in the area to Gardaí.

At around 11.30pm the four men emerged from the car with hoods pulled up to obscure their faces and they then smashed up the car before driving off.

Locals believe that the incident is related to traveller feuding but Gardaí did not confirm this. A Gardaí spokesman did confirm yesterday that the incident had taken place and that the car had been taken away for technical examination.
