Weather causes postponement of Midlands Home and Garden Festival at Belvedere

Due to the wet ground conditions a decision to move the Midlands Garden Festival from July 13, 14 and 15 to the weekend of August 17, 18 and 19 has been taken by show organisers Southern Promotions and the management of Belvedere House Gardens and Park.

"After careful consideration a decision to move the event to August 17-19 was agreed in light of current ground conditions with the inclement weather," said Bartle D'Arcy, Belvedere general manager.

"This is a major event for Belvedere and the area and postponing it at the moment we feel is the correct course of action to protect the ground on the estate and also the show itself."

Midlands Home and Garden Show will go ahead on August 17-19, with more than 200 trade stalls, continental food market, Dutch flower sellers, children's entertainment and even helicopter rides.
