Free parking for shoppers this weekend

There will be free parking in Mullingar this weekend as the council looks to entice shoppers to shop local this Christmas.Motorists will be able to avail of free parking in any of the town's public car parks on Friday December 14, Saturday December 15, Friday December 21, Saturday December 22 and Monday December 24. It should be noted that paid parking will operate as usual on the main streets in the town where parking is now limited to two hours.According to Mullingar Chamber of Commerce, if we all shop local this Christmas it will create 70 new jobs.
