No cycling signs unnecessary, says council

A request for additional ‘No Cycling’ signs in Mullingar’s main retail areas, has been shot down by Westmeath county council. The call had come from Cllr Michael Dollard.

However, in a reply delivered at last week’s meeting of Mullingar Area Committee, he was informed that the enforcement of cycling laws is a matter for the gardaí and additional signage is not considered necessary.
