Sadness at the passing of The Drifter's Sid Aughey

The removal of Sid Aughey, original drummer with The Drifters, takes place today at Shaws Funeral Home in Mullingar from 4pm - 7pm.

Sid (Donal) Aughey, from Lakepoint, and late of Turin, died suddenly on Tuesday July 29 at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.

The funeral mass will take place tomorrow, Thursday July 31, at Turin Church at 11am, followed by Cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin at 3pm.

He is sadly missed by his loving wife Breda, daughter Dolores, sons Noel, John and David, brother Tommy, sister Lily (Gilleran), grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, Bridget, relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace.
