Gardaí have uncovered €30,000 worth of cannabis in Collinstown house search

Collinstown drug find worth €30,000

Drugs with an estimated street value of €30,000 have been recovered following a planned search of a property near Collinstown in North Westmeath.
Gardaí from Castlepollard, supported by members of the Mullingar District Drug Unit and colleagues from Delvin and Mullingar carried out the search of a house in Kilpatrick yesterday evening.
The garda raid was carried out at about 6.30pm and the house was unoccupied at the time. The officers searched the dwelling and recovered 36 cannabis plants, along with growing paraphernalia, which were removed for further examination.
A file is to be prepared for the DPP and offficers are anxious to speak to a number of individuals in relation to the find.
