National Road Cycling Championships in association with Grange Motors, Mullingar - Toyota

Road Closures and Traffic Diversions, Saturday September 20

In order to facilitate the National Cycling Road Racing competitions (ladies and veterans), Westmeath County Council has authorised the following road closures:

Saturday 28 June 11am to 5pm
• Multyfarnham to The Covert at Ballinafid N4 junction on Road L1819.
• Portnashangan Junction with the N4 on Road L1015 to Donnellys Cross.
• From Donnellys Cross to Gartlandstown on the R394.
• From Crookedwood on Road L1618 to Junction with Donore Road in Multyfarnham.
• From the junction with Donore Road on Road L1618 through Multy Village to Locks 200 metres south of junction with road L1819 on Road L1820.

Traffic travelling east and west between 11am to 5pm on the N4 should be aware that the N4 will have reduced capacity in both directions between the The Covert/Ballinafid and Portnashangan. Delays may occur.

Traffic from Donegal to Dublin for the All Ireland should take note of these possible delays on the N4 between 11am and 5pm on Saturday September 20.

Diversions
• Traffic from Mullingar may travel via road N52 to Delvin by road R395 to Castlepollard and vice versa.
• Traffic to Multyfarnham from N4 may travel via Bunbrosna on road L1820 and vice versa.
• Traffic from Multyfarnham to N4 may travel on road L5821 Leney Church and vice versa.
All diversions will be signposted.

Access for residents, visitors and spectators
• Local access arrangements will be in place for local residents, please co-operate with the race marshals.
• Visitors and spectators are requested to access Multyfarnham for the races from the N4 via Bunbrosna on road L1820. Parking will be available as you approach the village of Multyfarnham. Limited access to Multyfarnham will be available from the north via Coole.
