Patterson pump ireland to create 32 new jobs in mullingar

Patterson Pump Ireland (PPI), currently building a new state-of-the-art 3716m2 premises at Marlinstown Office Park, has announced it is to create 32 new jobs in Mullingar over the next five years.

Already, three full-time positions have been added in the last quarter, and the increase by 32 new jobs will bring its workforce to 65.

Work on the new facility at Marlinstown is to be completed by 1 April 2015 and the entire PPI operations are planned to be installed in the new premises by 31 May 2015.

The company will be seeking to employ mechanical engineers, qualified fitters, finance, IT and quality control personnel as they seek to bring their number of employees up to 65 by 2020.

“The company’s performance over the last five years is the reason we were successful in securing this investment and jobs increase for the Mullingar office. The team here deserve all the credit for this exciting news for the Westmeath community”.

In a further boost to the Westmeath community, local firms ORS Consulting Engineers and Eamonn Traynor & Company are overseeing the construction of this multi-million Euro project. 125 people are involved in the design and construction of this important new facility and activity in all sectors of the construction is underway.

This expansion will allow PPI to move into the non-fire market in Europe which will see the company expand into the waste water, municipal pump and flood control market. They will move into the Marlinstown Office Park in the second quarter of 2015.

 

The company has supplied their products to companies such as Imperial Tobacco in Mullingar, the Limerick Tunnel and the Aghada Power Station in Cork.
