Organised crime unit behind last nights castlepollard arrest

Gardaí have this morning confirmed that an incident took place in Castlepollard last night, at around 7 pm.

A man aged 49, was arrested, following a search of a house in Castlepollard, by members of the Garda Organised Crime Unit.

He was brought from Castlepollard to Pearse Street Garda Station, and was later charged with a number of offences.

The man was due to appear at the CCJ court in Dublin at 10.30 am this morning.
