Castlepollards kenyabased hurling fan

Nope: this is not the latest rising star of the North Westmeath hurling scene: this young lad proudly wearing his Castlepollard Hurling Club hoodie lives in a village in rural Kenya.
He was spotted by a member of the charity Project Africa Athletics, an organisation aiming to discover Africa's next major running talent, focusing primarily on Uganda and Kenya.

The photograph was posted on Facebook ten hours ago, and is causing great amusement to people in Westmeath, wondering how the hoody ended up in Kenya.

Project Africa Athletics aims to assist upcoming athletes who currently lack the necessary support in order to fulfill their potential as well as develop athletes to better their lives through sport.
Project Africa aims to provide adequate running gear and equipment, coaching advice, racing opportunities abroad, and at sourcing athletic-based scholarships locally and abroad.
