Fr ray excited about new album

Tyrrellspass native Fr Ray Kelly will mark the release of his new album with an appearance on the Late Late Show tomorrow night.

Fr Ray's first album for Universal Records, Where I Belong, receives its Irish release tomorrow morning, December 5, hours before he makes his second appearance of 2014 on the Late Late Show.

The Oldcastle based cleric, who became an overnight internet sensation when the recording of his performance of the Leonard Cohen classic Hallelujah at a wedding went viral this spring, told the Westmeath Examiner that he is still getting used to his new found celebrity status.

“If someone had told me this time last year that I'd be on the Late Late twice in 2014, I wouldn't have believed them. The closest I've ever got to the Late Late before was sending text answers into their competitions.”
