Have you got your tickets yet for hit comedy its the real mccoy

The hilarious comedy ‘It’s the Real McCoy’ gets set to give audiences a heart-warming two hours of rural comedy when it comes to the Mullingar Arts Centre on Friday and Saturday March 13 and 14.

With over 180 performances to date across Ireland, the UK and America this play simply has it all.

Set in rural Ireland in 1964 it tells the story of Madge Molloy – a woman in her late 60’s – who has lived over forty years of her life wondering why her husband Tom, whom she was married to for just a few months, disappeared without trace or reason.

Needless to say Madge has become bitter about men in general and has come to the conclusion that “love is a temporary insanity of the mind”!

However, her life is about to take an unexpected twist as the arrival of a new curate to the parish is about to reveal the reasons behind her wayward husbands hasty exit and his wish to return and speak to Madge face-to-face.

The play has over 300 hilarious one-liners and with a plethora of characters that include a gormless postman, Ireland’s two nosiest neighbours, a nervous curate, a frightened husband and a woman who doesn’t suffer fools easily the audience is taken on a two-hour rollercoaster of comedy.

Tickets will sell out fast so contact the Mullingar Arts Centre box office on 044 934 7777 now to experience the funniest new Irish play to hit the stage for decades.
