Niall and rory join forces again

After caddying for him in America last month, Niall Horan will be joining forces with Rory McIlroy and two Manchester United legends for a golf tournament in England later this month.

The One Direction singer and the world's best golfer will be one of half a four man team competing at the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am at Wentworth on May 20. The quartet will be completed by former Manchester United stalwarts Paul Scholes and Phil Neville.

Horan, who was bitten by the golf bug as a teenager in Mullingar, says that while "he can't wait" to play with the sporting superstars, he will more than a little nervous teeing off.

"It’s going to be a great event. The opportunity to play in the Pro-Am with my mate Rory and two legends of football is going to be amazing – what a team.

“That said, I’ve heard there are pretty big crowds there on the day, I’m used to those but not when I’m on a golf course. I’ll probably be more nervous at Wentworth than I was performing in front of thousands with 1D, so I’m hoping Rory will give me a few tips on calming the nerves."
