King of country mizzell in concert tonight for amani orphanage

Robert Mizzell and the Country Kings are in concert in the Mullingar Park Hotel tonight, Thursday July 9, in aid of John McCauley’s Amani Orphanage in Tanzania.

What’s promised is a night of good old American Country music, some Irish country thrown in for good measure, and plenty of dancing!

Photographer John McCauley is almost at the culmination of his five year plan to help the Amani Orphanage in Tanzania.

Having constructed new dormitories, indoor toilets, and most recently a school, as well as starting a community Meals on Wheels, he is now looking to create a banana plantation to help bolster the long term future of the place. His plan is to make the organisation wholly self-sufficient.

“This dance is to get us ready for August next year. There was a five-year-plan from day one that we’d get them self-sufficient. And the five-year plan is up next year,” he explains.
