Weather a washout week ahead

You might find yourself humming “rain, rain, go away” but it looks like all attempts at banishing the miserable weather are futile given the current weather forecast.

Wednesday looks set to be the best day of the week, all the while remaining cloudy, with temperatures reaching highs of 19 degrees Celsius.

From Thursday however, rain and strong winds look likely to dominate.

Heavy and persistent rain will cover all parts of country during the day, with the downpours returning during the night.

Friday will stay showery, but we’ll be granted a brief respite towards the evening, with good sunny spells developing.

Saturday will be cool with scattered showers throughout the day.

It is summer, right? Just checking!
