The wait is over for leaving certs

The wait for the results of this year's exam came to an end this morning for Leaving Cert students.

However, it will be Monday before most find out in what direction they will next be heading, when the first round college offers are issued.

At schools across the county, there was relief for all, joy for most, and the occasional bit of disappointment.

The Westmeath Examiner had reporters and photographers out, and will have all the colour in this coming week's paper.
