Rathowen company on entrepreneur tv show

Rathowen-based company, Greene Farm Foods, will feature on the third episode of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards television series, on Monday October 5 at 8pm, on UTV Ireland.

A childhood spent working on the family farm and an enthusiasm for enterprise led Kenneth Greene to found Greene Farm in 1991. The company produces packaged cooked meats from its headquarters at Glenlough, Rathowen.

Kenneth’s ambition to play a pivotal industry role pioneering both sustainable and innovative practices in meat production. He is passionate in his determination to offer consumers an excellent quality product without any compromise from what they would cook at home – the result of which has seen Greene Farm grow to become number one in the Irish market for cooked poultry and beef, with an annual turnover of over €30 million.

The five-part television series on the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards takes in-depth looks at the 24 EOY 2015 finalists. The competition is divided into three categories – Emerging, Industry and International, and eight finalists are chosen per category, selected by an independent panel of judges made up of former EOY winners and chaired by businesswoman Anne Heraty, CEO of CPL Resources Plc.

Each category winner will be announced at the televised event on October 22 in Dublin, and one of the those will be named the 2015 EY Entrepreneur of the Year.

In addition to broadcasting on UTV Ireland, the series will be available to view online each week following every episode, with additional web-exclusive content, including personal business advice from this year’s EY Entrepreneur Of The Year finalists, on utv.ie/EOY.
