A small group of protestors have gathered in Mullingar to greet Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton.

The Minister is in Mullingar to officially open the new INTREO offices in Blackhall.

A large garda presence is in force outside the offices where a group of around 20 adults are chanting "Labour, Labour, Labour, Out, Out, Out!"

More shouted "Shame, shame, shame on you".

One placard reads "Rent supplement denied so the homeless man died."

Another is waving the tri-colour.

Minister Burton arrived in Mullingar around 3.30pm and gained easy access to the INTREO offices via a side door.
