The Austin Friars Street premises going under the hammer in Dublin next Thursday.

Former Mullingar public house going under the hammer

The Mullingar premises that housed Bambrick’s public house is one of four Westmeath lots going under the hammer at the next Allsop auction.

The Austin Friars Street property, which has a reserve price of between €110,000 and €130,000, will be up for sale at Allsop’s April 28 auction in the RDS.

The 384-square-metre property is arranged over ground and first floors to provide a mid-terrace former public house. Internally, the property comprises a ground floor public house with residential accommodation, including three bedrooms, overhead.

Also going under hammer is a 3.82 acre site in Clonmellon. The site is located at the rear of the Carraig Mhor housing estate and has a reserve price of €40,000.

In Athlone three adjoining retail units in Connaught Street (69-71) are going under the hammer. The total floor area of the commercial units, which have a reserve price of €45,000, is 828 square metres.

A vacant five-bedroom detached bungalow at Dougue on the outskirts of Athlone is up for sale at the auction. The 140-square-metre property has a reserve price of €20,000.

In total, 200 residential and commercial properties will be up for sale at Allsop’s fourth Dublin auction of 2016. They include a portfolio of eight three-bedroom, semi-detached houses with development land in Keenagh, which has a reserve price of €400,000.

Jonathan Fenn of Allsop said: “Following on from three successful auctions in Q1, we have assembled 213 lots for the first of three auctions in Q2. The catalogue provides primarily residential assets but with a significant commercial offering of over 70 lots. A number of multi-family lots will undoubtedly draw interest from investors, given the asset management and development opportunities, which will bring much needed accommodation to families under pressure to secure a home.”
