Cloudy now, but there's sun on the way

The weather forecast for Leinster this week isn’t looking too bad as dry spells are being predicted by Met Éireann, with a noon temperature of 17 degrees.

Early today, Tuesday, is to be cloudy with showery rain continuing until late morning, but some brightness is expected during the dry spells of the afternoon and evening.

Although this will be more likely in the southern half of the province, heavy showers are still a possibility from the afternoon on.

There is also a risk that some of these showers will be thundery.

Temperatures are estimated to be between 15-19 degrees with a mostly moderate wind from an east to northeasterly direction, and a speed of about 25kmh.

Tomorrow, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, however, look set to be slightly more like summer days.

Thursday, Friday are predicted to be sunny and only lightly cloudy.

Temperatures on Thursday are to be around a lovely 19 degrees while Friday will be cooler at 15C and Saturday to be about 15-16 degrees.

According to the Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) five day report, with the exemption of Wednesday there should be little to no rain up until Saturday night and the lowest night time temperatures are to be on Saturday at approximately 6 degrees.
