Ailing railings wrought to be better!

The Cathedral railings have been removed - but it's only temporary, priests are assuring Mullingar's parishioners.

In last week's newsletter, the parish revealed that an inspection of the railings found they were in bad condition.

In fact, the inspection showed, they were actually in danger of falling and thus, in need of considerable repair.

As a result, they have been removed and once repaired, they will be reinstalled.
