Mullingar's first Pokemon - got!

You might wonder are there any Pokemon in Mullingar. The answer is there are. Loads of em.

And we know because the task of finding out was on our list of jobs for the day.

"G'wan out," said the boss, "and see can you find any of them Pokerfaces."

"Pokerface?" we asked, cocking one eyebrow (took us a long time straining in front of a mirror to perfect that motion). "Are you saying Lady GaGa's in Mullingar?"

"I dunno about Lady Gaga," said he. "Is this town popular with the aristocracy?

"Anyways these Poker lads: they're some sort of little fellas. You find them with yer phone," he said.

"So, wait," we said: "you want us to use our phones to find some short men we can date and play cards with??  Like, you're saying to us: sign up with Tinder?"

"No no not Tinder lads. These are Pokermen. They're only virtual."

"Ah," says us. "You mean Pokemon."

"Grand," we thought. "That'll get us out of the office for a couple of hours."

It didn't though - we only got as far as Dolan's pub before we had our first hit.
