VIDEO: TRACTORS! Local lads join Dublin to Mayo Tractor Run

James Wallace, an agricultural contractor based in the Portnashangan and Ballinafid area, organised a group of local tractor men to join the Dublin to Mayo Tractor Run for Crumlin Children’s Hospital and Castlebar Special Care Unit.

The lads gathered at the car park at the Lough Owel diving boards earlier, and are on their way to meet the group coming up from Dublin.

They are planning to come through the centre of Mullingar shortly (time now is 2pm on Good Friday) on their way to Feerick’s in Rathowen for a party later this evening.

The Westmeath supporters will join the convoy as far as Longford, while the others will continue the journey to Castlebar tomorrow.

James heard about the event on the radio, and having decided to lend his support, has raised €1,500 so far.

He has received backing from Reilly Commercials of Ballinalack, Flynn Fuels, Mills Hydraulics and Matt Buckley, as well as the many people who have bought tickets.
