Mullingar artist to launch new exhibition 'The Magic of Colour'

Mullingar based artist Anna Marie Leavy has a new exhibition of works titled 'The Magic of Colour'.

The exhibition of new paintings and limited editiion fine art Giclée prints will be launched in the Old Market House Gallery, Dungarvan, County Waterford on Saturday April 21  by Dr Steve O'Brien, University College Cork, at 3pm.

'The Magic of Colour' exhibition will run until May 12.

The watercolour and acrylic artist was born in Donegal and now lives in Westmeath on the shores of Lough Sheever.

Her work is inspired by Irish landscapes and its floras, from soil to sky.

'The Magic of Colour' for her is capturing the fleeting effects of light and colour in her floral and woodlands paintings and in her west of Ireland mountain scenes.

Anna Marie has exhibited widely in Ireland and abroad and her paintings are represented in public and private collections all over the world.

- The Old Market House Gallery is open Tuesday - Friday, 11am - 1.30pm, and 2.30pm - 5pm. Free admission.
