TRAFFIC CONGESTION due to Life Festival

 

Gardaí are today, Friday, advising motorists to avoid the N52 if at all possible – or else risk getting caught up in the traffic makiing its way to this year's Life Festival at Belvedere.

Particularly bad at the moment is the stretch of road between the Blooomfield House Hotel and the entrance to Belvedere.

However, right back as far as Ballinagore, traffic is heavy, and gardaí say it couild be backed up 'for hours.

They are advising locals who know of alternative routes to their destinations to take them.

Life 18, described as “Ireland's number 1 festival for electronic music” runs from today right through until Sunday.

The headline act is the deejay Fatboy Slim, and there are well over a hundred other acts taking part.
