Shane Fitzsimons won the Joe Dolan Memorial 5k Road Race

Shane Fitzsimons of Mullingar Harriers AC won the Joe Dolan Memorial 5k Road Race and Fun Run on Saturday April 21 in a time of 16minutes.

His clubmates Kevin Baker (16:05) and Mark Carroll (16:29) completed the podium.

The Joe Dolan Memorial 5k Road Race and Fun Run is this Saturday April 21 at noon.

Mullingar Harriers Athletic Club is organising the event and all entrants will go into a draw with a main prize of a pair of one-day tickets to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

This will be the first ever official race over the Joe Dolan Bridge.

The entry fee is €10 at www.mullingarharriers.com or www.precisiontiming.com or €15, until 11am on the day.
