Nano Healy and Roisin Fagan on their return from Fontainebleau.

Mullingar teens enjoy success at International Pony Show

Representing Ireland in a major pony championship in France last week-end, two Mullingar teenagers were delighted to taste success in their respective classes and to help the Irish team into third place.

Riding ‘Lynncot Fancy Pants, Loreto College student, Roisin Fagan won the Grand Prix for six year old ponies at the CSIOP Championships in Fontainebleau on Saturday last.

Joining Roisin on the Irish team was another Mullingar teen, Nano Healy, partnering Farfield Cúchulainn in the open championships. Pitted against over 100 riders, Nano produced some quality jumping to take third spot in a highly competive class.

Overall Ireland finished third of nine nations who were taking part and it was a performance which delighted team Chef d’Equipe, Tom Slattery.
