Garda Open Day this Saturday

Members of the public are invited to intend the fifth annual open day at Mullingar Garda Station, which takes place this Saturday July 13.

“We will be showing the different aspects of the Garda Siochana including the Mounted Unit, Scenes of Crime Unit, the Drugs Unit, road policing, the Water Unit and Air Support Unit,” said Sergeant Roger Nicholson.

The Open Day will get underway with a “sensory hour” for people with special needs and their families that runs from 11am to 12pm. The rest of the event runs from noon to 3pm.

“There will be plenty of parking in the grounds of CBS school and we invite people of all ages to come along and see what the Gardai have to offer,” Sgt Nicholson said.
