Still some tickets for the Michael English concert left... plus - see below for Ray Dolan's video

Michael English is looking forward to his visit to Mullingar in November, he told the Westmeath Examiner at St Paul’s Church on the launch evening in September.

At the launch of his concert, which will help fund the costs associated with hosting Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Mullingar in August 2020, Michael said: “I have a great relationship with both Mullingar and with the fleadh, having gone to the all-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil with my parents, growing up, every year, and of course Mullingar... I have many friends here. I often play here, at the Park Hotel, and the arts centre.

“This will be my first time to play in a church here, but St Paul’s Church doesn’t have a pillar in sight, every seat is a good seat.

“It’ll be a great night and hopefully raise a lot of funds for Fleadh 2020.”

The concert will feature Michael and his band on Friday November 8 next at St Paul’s Church, Mullingar (doors 7pm, concert starts 8pm).

Tickets are €25, on sale from Rochforts and The Greville Arms Hotel in Mullingar and Mullingar Arts Centre, and are also available from Fleadh committee members.
