Daffodil Day at Holy Family NS

All week there was a buzz of excitement in Holy Family Primary School leading up to Daffodil Day, which was on Friday March 26 this year.

The two fourth classes at Holy Family NS got involved in fundraising for the day, including their teachers Ms Reynolds and Mr Maleady, who led the efforts.

The whole school as well as the wider community supported what is an important fundraising event in support of the Irish Cancer Society.

With Covid restrictions, the charity, along with many more, is under pressure to raise the funds it needs, so children brought in €3 and wore their Daffodil Day pins to school the Friday.

The boys and girls from Holy Family succeeded in raised a total of €900 for the Irish Cancer Society and the school would like to thank everyone who supported their Daffodil Day collection.
