Registration open for ‘Grandparents Faith Café December 2021’

The Grandparents Faith Cafe, an online social and spiritual space for grandparents, takes place on Tuesday December 14 via Zoom, at 7.30pm. The theme is ‘grandparents as cathechists’, the Catholic Grandparents Association said in a statement this week.

It announced Sr Anna Marie McGuan as guest speaker. Sr Anna Marie McGuan is a Religious Sister of Mercy of Alma, Michigan. After entering religious life in 2003, she studied in Rome and completed her licentiate in Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in 2016.

She has served in various roles related to Christian formation and teaching and hosts a podcast called ‘Scripture and the Spiritual Life’. She is currently the Archdiocesan Catechetical Advisor for the Archdiocese of Saint Andrew’s and Edinburgh.

Catherine Wiley, founder of the Catholic Grandparents Association, said: “I am very much looking forward to welcoming Sr Anne Marie to the Faith Café. I really would ask people to come and listen to her uplifting address.

"Being in her presence will make you feel a renewed sense of joy about your faith. You will leave feeling uplifted and ready to take on the challenge of being a catechist which very simply translates as passing on the faith, in your family, your parish and your Church.”

The December Faith Cafe is available for self registration – email info@catholicgrandparentsassociation.com to get the link, or click on it below.

After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link to join the meeting on 14 December.
