Four walk-in booster vaccine clinics to be held in Moate this week

Walk-in Covid-19 booster vaccination clinics for people aged 40 and above are to be held in Moate on four days this week, including Christmas Eve.

The HSE this morning announced the opening hours for the coming days at Westmeath's vaccination hub in Moate Community Centre.

Wednesday is the only day before Christmas when there will be no booster clinic for the general public will be held there.

In addition to the booster clinics, a clinic for people requiring their first or second dose of a Covid-19 vaccine will be held in Moate this Wednesday (December 22) between 4pm and 7pm.

The opening hours of the walk-in, no appointment needed, booster clinics for people aged 40 and above are as follows:

- Monday, December 20: 9.30am to 7pm

- Tuesday, December 21: 2pm to 7pm

- Thursday 23 December, 2pm to 7pm

- Friday 24 December, 9am to 12pm

The HSE is reminding people that they need to wait three months (at least 90 days) after their initial vaccine course before they can get a booster.

Booster walk-in clinics for healthcare workers are also taking place in Moate this week.

For healthcare workers aged over 30, the clinics will be on Monday (9.30am to 7pm), Tuesday (2pm to 7pm), Thursday (2pm to 7pm) and Friday (9am to 12pm). For healthcare workers aged under 30, there will be a clinic on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm.
