Pickleballer Cassandra wins doubles title at the Dutch Open

A young pickleball player from Multyfarnham won a mixed doubles title at the Dutch Open at the weekend.

Cassandra Mooney and her English playing partner Dan Beeson claimed the 3.5 Division mixed doubles title by defeating Maria Munz and Jose Maria Sardina Valero in the final on Sunday. The tournament took place in the city of Arnhem.

Posting on its Facebook page on Sunday evening, Irish Pickleball led the online accolades for Cassandra.

“Huge success in the Dutch Open today! Cassandra Mooney takes home the gold in the mixed doubles 3.5 division. A well deserved reward for all of her hard work on and off the court. You did Ireland proud today.”

Cassandra is a member of the Multyfarnham Pickleball Club.
