Official launch of Fleadh Cheoil this Friday afternoon

The Homecoming – Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, 2022 officially launches its music programme in Mullingar this Friday, May 27.

The 2022 fleadh is set to be one of the biggest gatherings to date and tens of thousands of people are expected to travel to the week-long celebration of traditional Irish music and culture, taking place from July 31.

The event is organised by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and will be hosted in Mullingar by the local Fleadh Executive Committee with the association of Westmeath County Council.

The launch is on Friday at 6.30pm starting outside Áras an Mhuilinn and Mullingar Arts Centre with music, dancing and singing from Westmeath Comhaltas, followed an official in the Atrium at Áras and Chontae.

The event is hosted by the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann executive committee.
