Dean passes his Shodan grade

Congratulations to Dean McNamee who’s on top of the world at the moment because he passed his Shodan (black belt) grade on June 12. Dean celebrated his birthday just a few days after and he is now just 12 years old and he’s only just in 6th class now in his school St Ciarans National School in Castlejordan.Dean went to Dublin and trained on a 4-hour technical seminar with Sensei Scott Langley 5th Dan JKS Ireland Sensei Yutake Koike 5th Dan JKS Italy and Sensei Paul Glannandrea 5th Dan JKS Scotland. Dean really enjoyed the class and felt he was prepared for his grading as he was training very hard in the build up to it. All the instructors said that Dean was very strong and he done a good grading. Dean’s family should also be congratulated on all the support and help they gave him and they are very proud of his achievement.Sensei Alan is also very proud of the amount of effort Dean put into his preparation for his Dan grade Dean has shown great maturity at his young age and deserves every bit of his black belt. The MSKC now have 10 black belt students and Dean is the youngest.
