Soccer Blitz fell foul of the weather
The heavy snow which fell on Saturday night/Sunday morning left us with no option but to call off the boys and girls under 13 soccer blitz which was to be played in Rochfortbridge on Sunday morning last.We now find ourselves in the position of having to appeal to the Leinster Executive for permission to play the under 13s outside of the closing date and we won"t know until the weekend if we are successful or not. However, the boys and girls Under 15 soccer blitz will go ahead in Gainstown (Mullingar Athletic F.C.) on this Sunday, February 15. All teams must sign in at least 30 minutes before the start of their game. If for any reason your team cannot take part, please don"t leave it until Sunday morning to contact us, do it immediately so that we can revise the draws and times.Team Manager"s numbersThe importance of putting the name and contact number of each team on the panel forms was borne out on Sunday last when we had to contact Team Managers to cancel the soccer blitz at the last moment. There were a large number with no telephone number which left us trying to contact area secretaries and they, in turn, had to contact the team manager. For future reference, when filling out panel forms, please include the name and contact number of the team manager.Sunder, February 15Boys Under15 IndoorSoccer - Court 110am (1) Mt. Only winning teams with their certificates will be brought to the Leinster Registrar on Monday morning, 16th February. So, you have been warned often enough not to miss out.Basketball DrawThe following is the draw for the boys and girls Basketball competition and we would ask all team managers to ensure that the final are played on or before 31st March.
