The Three Tenors

The Three Tenors in concert at the Greville Arms

Direct from National Concert Hall, three of Ireland’s greatest voices - The Three Tenors come to the Greville Arms, Mullingar, on Saturday February 24 at 8pm.

Special guests on the night include The Wrafter Family from Kilbeggan, as seen on Late Late Show, and the night will include some classic hits made famous by Sinatra, The Dubliners, Pavarotti and more!

Creating a storm around the country, Ireland’s favourite trio, Dominic, Shane, and Derek, known collectively as The Three Tenors Ireland, have been the only Irish trio act to perform annually for the past five years in such prestigious venues as the National Concert Hall Dublin (with President of Ireland Michael D Higgins in attendance), Cork Opera House, Dublin’s Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin Castle, and recent sell-outs in Belfast Waterfront Hall, Belfast Lyric Theatre.

The Irish trio has regularly appeared on both BBC and RTE. The award-winning trio promise a magical night to remember as they perform an exciting Celtic flavoured programme, with uplifting songs made famous by world superstars including Sinatra (My Way), The Dubliners (Wild Rover) and Pavarotti (O Sole Mio/Nessun Dorma). You’ll also love their new arrangements of hits such as ‘Over the Rainbow’.

Regarded as the friendliest Irish vocal trio, the guys were the headliners to perform for the sell-out European Premiere for the film "Lincoln" in 2013 sharing the stage with leading stars –Sinead O’Connor, Shane McGowan and Chris De Burgh. Among the attendance were Hollywood stars Daniel Day Lewis, Steven Spielberg and Sally Field.

The Wrafter Family

The Kilbeggan family first shot to national prominence about a year ago when husband and wife Peter and Noreen, together with their three young children, Conor, Thomas, and Aimee, joined Ryan Tubridy on The Late Late Show for what turned out to be a memorable Saint Patrick's Night performance of the tune, 'The Blarney Stone.'

Since then, the Wrafters have also appeared with The High Kings on a number of occasions, and have some more exciting dates in their diary for throughout 2018 and into next year. But first up is next Saturday night, and it's an evening Peter is looking forward to.

"We're delighted that we've been given such an honour as this, being able to appear with Dominic, Shane, and Derek. You're talking about three unbelievable voices with these men, just superb. They've been a credit to this country everywhere that they've played, and you only have to look at some of the places that they have performed to realise their standing; the National Concert Hall, Cork Opera House, Dublin Castle....no-one ends up playing any of those venues by accident. You have to be something special, and The Three Tenors are most certainly that. It will be pleasure and a privilege for us to be a part of their night and their show."
