Fallen Lights have big plans for 2019

Fallen Lights have big plans for 2019, starting with the release of the first of three singles, Extra Time, this Friday, February 8.

They’re building on a strong 2018, when they released two singles (‘It’s too Late’ and ‘Last Train Home’).

They played numerous live shows, including at the Olympia and the 3Arena, and finished the year on a high with their first appearance on the Late Late Show.

Fallen Lights are set to release their strongest single to date titled Extra Time.

The band spent most of 2018 focused on writing and recording new materials, defining their sound and working on putting together a high energy and memorable live show.

The latest single, ‘Extra Time’, came from these writing sessions.

It was produced by London based Eliot James, who has worked with Two Door Cinema Club, Bloc Party and The Coronas).

The single is the first of three planned for release during 2019 and their debut album is due in October.

The single will be supported by a radio and media appearances and live shows throughout the country.

Graham Dowling is encouraging people out to see the band live.

“If we can achieve one thing this year, it’s to encourage as many people to come to one of our shows and have the full live experience, as we believe that is where the magic of our music really lies,” said Graham.

“This is gonna be a big year for us!

“We have already been confirmed for some of Ireland’s biggest festivals and the new tracks have been performing well on national radio – but we need as much support as possible... so break your norm come to our show, and let’s do this together!”

Graham added that the latest single is Fallen Lights’ “first release in the introduction of our new sound”.

“The new stuff is a mix of our old indie roots with a electro club feel and it’s definitely where the album is going to end up.

“Playing the new stuff live has been amazing, the fans reactions have been so positive we think it’s a lot more youthful and energetic and more akin to the heavy hitters of the global music industry.”
