Berty's 'Stars of Our Bars' set for finale

Magician, Aidan Murphy, entertained the audience on Friday night and also qualified for the final of the Annebrook Stars of our Bars talent competition which will be held in Bertie’s Bar this Friday.

The final of Berty's Bar "Stars of our Bars" has now arrived and is taking place on Friday, March 12, in the Annebrook House Hotel.

The competition has been running for the past number of weeks to packed audiences and the final promises to be nothing short of a cliff hanger as John Smyth, Ken Fitzpatrick, Ann Marie Dunne, Jordan Onubogu and Aidan Murphy are the five finalists hoping to take the title.

Berty's Bar received a huge number of entrants from all over, with the judges having the unenviable job of picking winners each week, but of course the audience gave a helping hand, voting each Friday night to get their favourite act over the line for qualification each week.

This time however the audience alone will choose the winner, using voting cards to put the strongest contestants through.

The winner of night will go forward to the county final stage where the prize money for the winner is €1,000 and second and third prizes will be given. Additionally the prize money for the national winner is €7,500, €2,500 for second place and €1,000 for third.

This national talent competition is being promoted by the VFI and there is an overall prize fund of €50,000 sponsored by Smithwick's.
