Fatal accident at Ballinalack
Gardaí in Mulligar are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the Mullingar to Longford Road at Ballinalack.
The collision between two cars occurred at approximately 3.30pm yesterday, Monday December 28.
The driver, a man in his 70's, was seriously injured in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to the mortuary at Mullingar Hospital.
His female passenger and two people in the second car received minor injuries and were taken to Mullingar Hospital for treatment.
